Getting Your KHS and Sidel Blow Molders Back Up to Speed
If you’ve spent any time on a production floor, you know that PET blow molding is all about the heat. If your infrared output is off, everything else follows. We make replacement lamps that actually fit. Whether you’re running old-school SBO lines or the newer Matrix series, we’ve got you covered.
No more “almost” fitting
Here’s the thing about replacement lamps: a single millimeter is the difference between a smooth start and a total headache. If the length is slightly off or the connector doesn’t click in perfectly, you get arcing or cold spots. It’s frustrating. That’s why we obsess over the dimensions. We match the OEM specs exactly. You can just swap the lamps out. No hacking the oven housing, no messing with the wiring, and no “making it work.” It just works.
The science (without the jargon)
We use high-purity quartz glass because production floors are brutal on equipment. The constant heating and cooling can crack cheap glass. By tweaking the halogen gas and the filament, we make sure the lamps hit the exact wattage needed to get those preforms hot, fast. We focus on short-wave infrared because it punches right through the PET wall. But a quick heads-up: it’s tempting to crank up the wattage to boost your throughput. Just be careful. If you push it too hard, your cooling blowers will struggle to keep up. Your oven temp will climb, and before you know it, you’re dealing with deformed preforms.
Just plug and play
We designed these to be true drop-in replacements. Whether your machine uses R7s or those specific SK connectors, the pins line up with your existing sockets. You don’t have to touch the circuitry. This is huge during a fast changeover when every minute of downtime feels like an hour. Plus, we test every single batch for voltage stability. We want to make sure your lamps don’t pop the moment you ramp up to full speed.
