
Stop Letting Your Machine Manufacturer Hold Your Lamps Hostage
If you run PET blowing machines, you know the drill. You need short-wave infrared lamps to get those preforms heated up, but trying to find replacements is often a nightmare. Most big-name OEMs love to use “special” dimensions or weird connector specs. It’s a classic move to lock you into their ecosystem so you’re forced to buy their overpriced parts. We got tired of that. So, we built quartz lamps that actually fit, regardless of who made your machine.
Making it Actually Fit
Getting a lamp to work isn’t rocket science, but you have to get three things right: the electrical load, the size, and the plug. We make our tubes to match the exact voltage and wattage of the big global brands. Whether you’re running a high-voltage 400V circuit or a standard 220V line, the power is tuned just right. You get the heat density you need without tripping your power supplies. And the connectors? We stick to R7s and Sk15. They’re simple drop-in replacements. You won’t have to spend your afternoon rewiring the oven or hacking away at the lamp holders. You just pull the old one out, pop the new one in, and get back to work.
The Stuff Inside
We use high-purity fused quartz because it doesn’t freak out when temperatures jump around. It handles that rapid cycling without cracking. For PET work, we use halogen-filled tubes. The halogen keeps the tungsten filament from evaporating too fast, which means the lamps just last longer. Some of our tubes even have a special coating that pushes the heat deeper into the PET wall. It stops that annoying problem where the surface gets scorched while the inside stays cold.
A Quick Word of Caution
Here’s the thing: when you cram a lot of wattage into a tiny space, things get hot. Fast. If you put a 2500W tube in a tight spot, your airflow has to be perfect. If your cooling fans are clogged with dust or just can’t keep up, the ends of the lamp will overheat and burn out way too soon. We provide the raw power, but the lifespan of the lamp really comes down to how well your machine breathes. Keep those fans clean.
