Here’s what matters under the hood. The emitter is a short-wave quartz halogen lamp, tuned for fast response and stable output in the heating tunnel. Rated 1.5 kW at 230 V (with 110 V/240 V options), it hits 100% power in 0.8 seconds and holds temperature within ±2% across the preform heating window. Lengths are exact—300 mm, 330 mm, 350 mm, and 400 mm—with an R7s base and standard connector orientation for a straight swap. Peak wavelength lands at 1.0–1.2 μm, chosen because PET preform walls absorb that range quickly and evenly. Why it plays nice on the line. You keep your cycle speed because the lamp spools up fast, and the coating process sees repeatable heat density. The payoff is fewer underheated preforms, less scrap, and fewer stops for lamp changes. Energy use drops too, since short-wave output heats the preform, not the frame around it.
